The DASSA (Dubai Affiliated School Sport Association) virtual series has expanded to Netball this term for Year 3-6 Girls.

In groups of three, students will be tasked to score as many points as possible in one minute, ensuring each shot is taken from a different position.

The girls have been practising at morning ECAs and during break times to score as many points as possible in their trios whilst maintaining social distancing at all times. They have really enjoyed the challenge so far and having the opportunity to have some sporting competition back in their lives; against other Dubai schools virtually and within DESS.

Current top scores:

  • Year 3: 13 Goals (Hope Lawrence, Aliyah Mansy and Victoria Pluckrose).
  • Year 4: 27 Goals (Holly Chamberlain, Indi Stephenson and Khyrah O’Reilly).
  • Year 5: 27 Goals (Poppy Lawrence, Leila Bushnaq and Maryam Masomzadeh).
  • Year 6: 36 Goals (Francesca Mann, Heidi Edgar and Keelin O’Boyle).

Keep practising shooting at home and at club everyone! Deadline is 25th March.
