November 1km Run Winners

The results are in! Can you spot any of your friends at DESS on the leaderboard...?! 

As mentioned in the last newsletter, lots of students at DESS and across Dubai have been competing in the DASSA 1km Virtual Running Competition. All socially distanced rules have been adhered to, to ensure it was a safe yet fun and challenging competition.  

We’d like to say a big well done to everyone who took part in the competition and thank you to The Stig - aka Mr Clarkson - and the PE Team. Lots of our students achieved personal bests (PB’s) and some of our students also made it onto the DASSA leaderboard... 

Year 4 

• Oliver Webster and Taj Nunn came 1st in Dubai with a time of 3:49. 
• Rory McCullough came 6th in Dubai with a time of 4:06.  
• Indi Stephenson came 7th in Dubai with a time of 4:25.  

Year 5 

• Thalia O’Reilly came 3rd in Dubai with a time with 4:07. 

• Poppy Lawrence came 6th in Dubai with a time of 4:13.  
• Constantine Theo came 6th in Dubai with a time of 3:53.  

Year 6 

• Maddie Cassar came 5th in Dubai with a time of 4:00.  

Whilst the official competition has finished, we’d like students to continue to run and we’ve set them two challenges to aim to achieve by Christmas... Can you beat your own score? Or can you beat one of the leaders on the leaderboard?
